Strata Vessels

Strata Vessel is a study in form, weight, and layered surface. Each piece in the series is blown in rich brown glass, establishing a warm, earthen foundation that emphasizes mass and presence.
Encircling the forms, thick black bands wrap the surface with bold continuity. These bands create a sense of structure and segmentation, reading as layered strata that shift and adapt to the changing contours of each vessel.
Though varied in shape and scale, the pieces remain unified through this shared language of material and pattern. The contrast between the deep brown field and the dark banding reinforces the sculptural quality of each form, highlighting both curvature and volume.
Grounded and deliberate, Strata Vessel reflects a dialogue between natural layering and controlled construction — a series where variation in form is held together through a strong, cohesive visual system.
