Iron Sand Contour is a sculptural vessel defined by contrast, density, and controlled line. The form rises from a clear base into a concentrated field of black glass infused with fine gold particulate, creating a sense of weight and suspended material.
Encircling the lower body, deep red lines move in deliberate, undulating paths — a continuous contour that introduces structure within the open clarity of the glass. The pattern reads as both surface and signal, mapping movement across the form with precision.
The tapered neck compresses the composition, drawing the eye upward from transparency into density. Light passes through the clear lower section while catching within the particulate above, reinforcing the balance between openness and mass.
